Hillary Clinton to Hold Gun Violence Discussion in Hartford
On Thursday, April 21, Hillary Clinton will campaign in Hartford, Connecticut. Clinton will hold a discussion with family members of gun violence victims about her commitment to enact commonsense gun safety measures as president. Participants will include family of victims of the Sandy Hook shooting, as well as family of victims of gun violence in Connecticut cities.
Clinton has proposed commonsense steps to tackle gun violence in communities across the country, including enacting comprehensive background checks, ending immunity protections for irresponsible gun manufacturers and dealers which prevent victims’ families from holding them accountable, and keeping guns out of the hands of domestic abusers, other violent criminals and the severely mentally ill.
