Rob Simmelkjaer was appointed to fill a vacancy on the Zoning Board of Appeals in February of 2016. His term expires in 2018. He also serves as a volunteer coach for the Westport Soccer Association and as vice moderator at the Norfield Congregational Church in Weston.
Rob is a Senior Vice President and on-air contributor at NBC Sports Group in Stamford. Prior to joining NBC, he worked at ESPN for over nine years. Prior to his tenure at ESPN, Simmelkjaer practiced law at two New York firms.
Rob is a graduate of Dartmouth College and Harvard Law School. He and his wife Kathryn, a physician at Bridgeport Hospital, have lived in Westport since 2014 and they have two young daughters.
